Dial-a-Ride is a great way for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities to get around American Samoa! Whether you need transportation for work, shopping, medical appointments or just visiting your aiga, Dial-a-Ride provides an empowering and flexible way to move around in American Samoa for those who need it most.
Dial-a-Ride is an on-demand paratransit service for our territory. As such, Dial-a-Ride vehicles do not travel on a fixed route each day. Riders schedule trips in advance and our vehicles provide curb-to-curb service from the rider's desired pick-up location to the drop-off destination. Dial-a-Ride is a shared-ride service, so vehicles may make stops along the way to pick up and drop off other passengers.
Dial-a-Ride service is provided by the Department of Public Work’s Transit Division of the American Samoa government. This program receives a portion of its funding from the Federal Transit Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation through grants administered by the Regional Transportation Authority.
The Dial-a-Ride team of American Samoa is committed to training, flexible with regard to changes and resilient in turning challenges into successes. It is with great honor that we serve the senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in American Samoa.
